MEDIA RELEASE: KURT REYNOLDS TO JOIN LCDDS
Westside
Devils to drive youth development through Reynolds
Westside Devils Junior
Soccer Club and Launceston City Football Club
has furthered their
commitment to junior and youth football development
with the
announcement that former Young Socceroo Captain, NSL player
and FFT
Technical Director, Kurt Reynolds will partner with the clubs
through
the Launceston City Devils Development Squad.
With over 600 registered
players, Westside Devils and its senior club,
Launceston City FC are
the largest soccer club in northern Tasmania.
The club is based at
Mitsubishi Park, Prospect.
“In addition to our club
squads and local competition there is a strong and
growing appetite
for more football opportunities at junior and youth level,”
commented Austin Fagan, committee member.
The Launceston City Devils
Development Squad programs are designed
to complement and enhance
young player’s football development through
one additional training
session per week which is absolutely aligned with
the National
Football Curriculum content and Skill acquisition training.
The
program currently caters for players aged from 9 to 16 .
“Having launched our
development squad in 2012 we wish to build upon
the offer, grow
participants and deliver a quality football development
program. We
believe that Reynolds brings the football experience,
knowledge,
accreditations and personality to drive the programs forward.”

added.
At present over 30 players
are involved in the clubs development programs,
which mid to longer
term, will provide a crucial pathway into the
Victory League with the
Launceston City senior club.
Effective from Monday 27th
May Reynolds will commence facilitating the
sessions, mentoring club
coaches and working with the club on potential
future projects.
“I am delighted to be
back working with Westside Devils and Launceston City
and value the
proactive approach of the clubs in relation to developing their
young
players. Most importantly I look forward to working with the players
and providing them with quality content in order to help them improve
to the
highest possible level in the game.” said Reynolds, who is
currently
completing his FFA A Licence.
