Teams have been created and we are now starting to send coaches

 the team detail so they can contact players and arrange 

training days and times.

As we are getting closer to the start of the season we can 

no longer guarantee that there is a position available in a team.

 to accommodate your son or daughter.

We are in the process of putting teams together so please register online now.

Remember payment is not required at time of registration, although 

you can pay Online by Credit Card,

 but registrstion must be paid in full before 30th April 2012.

Already in some age groups we are full (for example Under 14 Boys) and

 will not be taking further registrations. 

All the teams will be finalised on Sunday and Coaches will be notified 

during the week ready for training to start after the second week of March.

The Adidas Shorts and Socks package $25 can be collected direct from

 Route 66, 142 Charles St, Launceston

and additional stock will be arriving after 12th March.

Grassroots Coaching Course this Tuesday 28th February

There will be  a Grassroots Coaching Course this Tuesday 28th February

 from 6pm to 8pm in our clubrooms Mitsubishi Park, 416 Westbury Rd, Prospect.

This course is free and will be conducted by Blaise Fagan from Football Federation of Tasmania.

The course is open to new and existing coaches and anyone from the club who would like to learn the ropes.

Bring practical football gear, note pad and pen and water bottle.

Key areas covered during the course are:

• Organisation
• Equipment
• Safety
• Core techniques
• Running a session
• Basic coaching tools and resources

We would highly recommend all existing coaches and parents who would like to coach attend.

You will receive a certificate on completion.

Wednesday Night Registrations!

As we had to cut our registrations short on Saturday 18th, we will hold

 an afternoon registration on Wednesday 22nd February from 4.30pm to 7pm

 in our clubrooms Mitsubishi Park, 416 Westbury Rd, Prospect.

There will not be as many volunteers on hand, so to make it quicker for you
 please register online before you come in - if you are paying cash
 please print your invoice and bring it along.

The Shorts and Socks package will be available for $25.00. 

After Wednesday you will be able to purchase your Shorts and Socks package
 direct from Route 66, 142 Charles St, Launceston.

We need a Volunteer for this Saturdays Registration!!

We had another great Registration Day last Saturday!

It was great to welcome new players to Westside - the Shorts and Socks package for $25.00 is flying out the door and it will be great to see how smart the Westside Players look on the field!

We need a Volunteer for this Saturdays registration to help on a Lap Top to process Registrations Online - you must be able to type and know your way around a computer - and preferably have tried the Online registration system PLUS be good under pressure :). Please come back to me ASAP.

To speed up the process on Saturday if you want to pay with Cash - register ONLINE and print your invoice and bring it with you so we can receipt it.

You can register ONLINE and pay by Credit Card and still pop into the Clubrooms for the Shorts and Socks package.

We also handed out 2100 Flyers (see below) to Bracknell, Hagley, Cressy, Longford, Prospect, Summerhill and West Launceston State Schools/ High Schools that will be going home this week.

Registration Day Success!

Westside Devils held the first registration day last Saturday.


We would like to thank all those Parents and Players who attended and registered for 2012!


After a technical hitch with the myfootballclub.com.au server we were able to register our Players online for the first time in the Clubs history.


Feedback from the day was positive with most Players loving the Adidas model and BOOTS on display. We sold approximately 20 Adidas Shorts and Socks packages for $25 on the day and we even had the sets purchased online when the Players were registered!


Our next registration day is this Saturday 11th February 10am to 3pm in our clubrooms, Mitsubishi Park Prospect.
