Westside Update...

The Skills Acquisition Program starts Monday 13th Oct 4 - 5pm at Churchill Park.

The Goal Keeping training is also starting Monday 13th Oct 4.30 - 5.30pm at Churchill Park with Col Nicholson.

The A League Soccer Tipping has been cancelled and monies will be refunded to those that have paid ASAP.

We had a lovely evening with Launceston City FC last Saturday night and celebrated our achievements over the past year which included but weren’t limited to:

Hosted two FFT sanctioned games against Geelong Grammar First Team - up to year 12.

Hosted the FFT sanctioned and approved SAP Carnival at Mitsubishi Park for approx 300 SAP players from Devonport and other Hobart teams.

Have run a successful FFT SAP program (training twice a week now) and had two teams participate in the three SAP carnivals to date.

Have run two successful holiday soccer clinics at Mitsubishi Park, in conjunction with Kurt Reynolds.

Ran a very successful Goalkeeper’s clinic, open free to all clubs, which one player was identified by FFT and picked in state side for Tasmania, thanks to Col.

Third year of LCSS, with up to 50 players at peak attendance, learning extra skills of the great game, on a Monday night during season.

Most registered players in the North of the State.

Most teams entered to play in NTJSA.

Promoted and support Pink & Blue day.

Promoting along with NTJSA and other clubs Care for Africa-this will only get bigger, WD has donated 400 plus old playing tops and other soccer gear towards this very worthy cause.

High number of teams finish on top of the season ladders and McDonald Cup.

WD well represented in NTJSA Rep and FFT SAP/State Teams.

First club with Mascot and banners at Churchill Park.

WD supported, with the other clubs, new large fence signs.

First club team ever (according to Dale Rigby President NTJSA) to win top of the ladder, McDonald’s Cup and Launceston carnival for U16 Boy’s when all players were in their 15th birth year.

Three players represented Australia through Futsal.

So the Westside Devils Committee would like to thank you all for your efforts this year in helping to make our club the strong, inclusive club that it is.

We look forward to the 2015 Season.
